About us
My name is Hossein Dehnavifard, and I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town. My expertise lies in electric machines and power electronics, and I am currently making strides in the electric vehicle industry as a Senior Design Architect at Komatsu. My work spans designing multifaceted subsystems, from innovative charging systems to sophisticated embedded software for controlling wheel motors. I also lead a dynamic team of software and hardware engineers, fostering groundbreaking developments in our field.
My journey with Article Yours began during my graduate studies. I was struck by the protracted and often disheartening process of scientific publication—a year's work could end in rejection without any constructive feedback. This issue was not unique to me; it was a widespread concern among my peers. Frequently, articles were cursorily reviewed by graduate students, despite requests from editors for thorough evaluations by their supervisors. This system placed undue burden on graduate students, who were already juggling numerous responsibilities without adequate recognition or compensation.
This concern deepened after marrying my wife, who encountered the same obstacles in academia six years after my own experiences. Moreover, observing global events—from wars to political shifts—and how misinformation could sway election outcomes underscored the urgent need for change. Driven by a resolve to make a difference, I dedicated myself to realizing this vision.
In this innovative system, researchers are empowered as both the proprietors and stewards of their work and viewpoints, ensuring authenticity and integrity. This platform challenges the status quo, ensuring that valuable contributions cannot be sidelined by major journals or media. It guarantees that if your work or opinions merit attention, they will be recognized and appropriately rewarded. Furthermore, this system introduces a novel review mechanism, holding reviewers accountable for their feedback while rewarding excellence. This anonymity between reviewers and authors ensures unbiased assessments, with compensation linked to the impact and citation of the work.
This initiative is not just a response to personal grievances; it's a call to revolutionize the academic publishing landscape, ensuring fairness, transparency, and respect for intellectual labor.
